1. Information we may process
When you use TVET Library, the website may process information needed to provide its services. This can include search terms, pages visited, browser and device information, IP address and server logs. If you start an M-Pesa payment, the website processes the phone number, resource and payment status. Successful payment records may include an M-Pesa transaction code and transaction reference.
2. Why we use this information
Information is used to operate and secure the website, return search results, initiate and confirm payments, provide downloads, recover completed purchases, prevent misuse, diagnose errors and respond to support enquiries.
3. Payments
M-Pesa transactions are processed through Safaricom payment services and the website's payment integration. Your M-Pesa PIN is entered on your phone and should never be entered into TVET Library or sent to support. Payment references are retained where reasonably necessary to confirm purchases and support download recovery.
4. Cookies and local browser storage
The site may use cookies or browser storage for essential sessions, security, interface preferences and guest purchase/download history. Clearing browser data may remove history stored only on that device. Third-party services may set their own cookies subject to their policies and your browser choices.
5. Third-party services
The website uses external services to provide functions such as M-Pesa payments, advertising, website support chat, fonts and interface libraries. Information sent to those services is governed by their respective privacy terms. TVET Library does not control third-party websites reached through external links.
6. Sharing and disclosure
We do not sell personal information. Information may be shared with service providers where needed to operate payments, hosting, security, analytics, advertising or support, and where required by law or to protect users and the service.
7. Retention and security
Information is retained only for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described above, legal obligations, transaction records, dispute resolution and security. Reasonable safeguards are used, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security.
8. Your choices
You can control cookies and local storage through your browser. You may contact us to ask about personal information associated with a support request or payment record. Some records may need to be retained for legal, accounting, fraud-prevention or transaction-recovery purposes.
9. Children's privacy
The service is intended for learners, trainers and other education users. A parent or guardian should assist a minor with paid transactions and decisions involving personal information.
10. Changes and contact
This policy may be updated as the website and its services change. The current revision date will appear above. Privacy questions can be sent to info@tvetlibrary.co.ke.
